India: Violence against Dalits is increasing

Since the takeover of the Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi and his party BJP, the violence against the Dalits - also called "untouchables" - has constantly increased.

The data of the National Crime Record Board, which was presented at a Dalit meeting in Delhi with over 7,000 participants, reveals this finding. according to a report from the Roman news agency "Fides" a "Massive reconnaissance" about the difficult situation of Dalit is urgently needed.

For 2015, the Observatory records 7,144 cases of criminal violence against Dalits alone in the state of Rajasthan, including murder and rape; Gujarat (6655 cases) and Chhattisgarh (3,008 cases) are also among the biggest conflict centers. Often, Dalits would be victims of arbitrary and illegal expropriation of arable land; Nearly three quarters of all Dalit families in rural areas are affected, according to a social and economic survey of 2011.

About 45 percent of the Dalit families do not have land ownership or have to give up an important part of their livelihood. This inequality leads to poverty, malnutrition, health problems, illiteracy and backward development.

According to Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, "the most important advocate for the Dalits and the tribal peoples is the Catholic Church", and: "What the Church did for the Dalits in the field of education, welfare, development and support even did not get done by the state."

Specifically runs the support over an Episcopal Commission specially created, dealing with the social support of the Dalits and the combating of discrimination. Discrimination of this population group are given the prevailing mentality remains common and Christian Dalits as a result of a decision of the President from 1950 still "Additionally disadvantaged", so the Bishop: "We demand that Christian and non-Christian Dalits have the same rights."

The Indian government is called upon to take measures to combat violence against Dalits, including a ban on groups of violent groups who are bombarding Dalit. There is also a need to create jobs with permanent contracts, distribute land to the landless and counteract discrimination against Dalits in schools," Mascarenhas said.

European Union: Posting of links could be subject to a charge

Here gets shown how inflexible and hostile to innovation the big magazine publishers of the European Union are. Instead of watching the signs of the time and adapting their own business model the German publishers are trying to continue their ride on a dead horse.

These stupid magazine publishers are thinking that they are mighty enough and can force others to pay for linking to their content by using short text snippets from their content. That shows only that these magazine publishers are so dumb and resident against learning that they don’t understand the functions of the header tags <title> and <description>. As soon as you are looking at one of these German site from these magazine publishers you'll find out the reason why they are acting this way. Their full content of their journalistic work fits normally already into description. The text length of the description tag is not limited, but Google takes normally a maximum of around 150 characters for describing your link in their search results. As they journalists from the German magazines are lazy, their content is nothing else than a pic with 2 or 3 sentences under it. How can get made a short description for such a poor content? Their print media is not better, it contains big page filling pictures with not more than 2 - 3 sentences description. As I have seen it the first time, I have been thinking that the German people, who are buying such a newspaper can only be illiterates. If you are searching for real journalistic content then you have to visit the free websites from the big TV stations like ARD and ZDF.

Instead of searching the failures for their losses got these morons of magazine and news publishers the idea that search engines and the social networks have to pay for listing their sites together with the short text snippets. With other words of being happy about a free of charge promotion others shall even pay for making promotion for them. I think these cretins are overestimating themselves.

European Union Commissar Günther OettingerThese self-proclaimed opinion found support for EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger. And now the copyright law shall get renewed and should become EU law. Actually, only Internet companies like Google should be asked to pay, but also private individuals would be currently affected.

The European Commission has published the official proposal for the planned reform of the copyright law on Wednesday (1-2016-593-EN-F1-1.PDF (359.78 kb)). The contents of the 33 pages of long document is somewhat similar to a working paper gel files in the run-up to proposals. Striking: While specific rules on controversial topics such as Geoblocking, or freedom of panorama, it focuses in particular on an extension of the controversial Intellectual property right of the European Union. This law stipulates that Internet companies such as Google and Facebook would have to pay for a link preview, for example, in a Facebook posting or for an excerpt in Google News.

Such laws already exist in Germany and Spain, but these did not bring the hoped-for effect so far. The media companies argue U.S. platforms such as Google or Facebook would benefit from the link previews, so called "snippets". They especially complain Google and co. would earn money with third party content, not cut them but on the advertising revenue. In the future, for a period of at least 20 years on news articles shall apply. Google, Facebook or an other Internet group linked in this period on the item and displays a preview (for example, with title, image and teaser), would have to pay for it.

The media giants hope so that the losses from traditional ad business can get replaced. The EU Commission expects a ten per cent increase for the Media Industry. This is a calculation that seems very doubtful in view of the negative example of Germany. The collecting organization called VG Media could collect since her introduction € 714.540 of the performance rights in Germany, but not a single euro of which was distributed to media companies. Instead, the revenue were used for legal proceedings, carried out violations of the copyright. As costs with 3.3 million euro increase over the revenue, publishers had to even step in and pay – the copyright became thus a negative business.

The proposal is attacked from multiple sides. The governing body of the Austrian Internet providers (ISPA) called the law: "Start to throwback". ISPA Secretary-General Maximilian Schubert, who is also Vice President of EuroISPA, shows angry on copyright infringement in particular about the copyright, the missing unification of the freedom of panorama, as well as the now mandatory review by the hosting provider.

Julia Reda, MEP of the Pirate Party, described the design already in advance as "beyond of good and evil" and called #SaveTheLink under the Hashtag for the resistance. The criticism joined several EU members, including Marietje Schaake, Brando Benifei, and Daniel Dalton. The President of the EU Commission Jean-Claude Juncker stressed in his speech that journalists must get paid, "regardless of where they work and whether it offline, from the copier or linked". Thus copying of printed works he equates the linking of articles, be compensated for the authors and publishers about collecting societies.

"There is a danger that search engines remove journalistic texts from their search completely. The Web would poorer," warns the managing director of IT industry association Bitkom, Bernhard Rohleder. Among especially smaller publishers would suffer because their offers are not to be found and the user instead accessed only on the news pages of the well-known publishers.

Digital Commissioner Günther Oettinger (CDU) don't want that search engines or other Web pages to display even shortest article extracts in the form of "Snippets", when they refer to journalistic texts. Also, even the copy could fall under the new rights. This would be the case when search engines are indexing articles. That case shows that Günther Oettinger does even not know the function of robots.txt. Such a guy likes to be the Digital Commisioner?

Feiler, expects the European Parliament several amendments with clearer definitions, but even sharp criticism on the intellectual property right. "The Intellectual property protection right has already shown what's it can - not very much", said Feiler. "This is a classic case of 'policy laundering': something that did not work at a national level, will be tried on another level again." Feiler compares the approach of the media conglomerates that the music and film industry, who defended in the past decade yet fierce DRM measures. "The reaction is understandable, but thanks to the digitization, it needs new business models."

The initiative, European digital rights (EDRi) complained that the proposal "not worse might have". It was "Poison" for the freedom of expression and creativity. The Commission had ignored all the facts and wants to avoid a genuine reform at any cost.

The new rules could lead to a deal between Google and the corporate media as politico notes. So Google in the United States have presented already 2014 a micropayment system with "Contributor", which could serve as an additional source of income in Europe. The user paid while a self-selected monthly amount between 1.99 and $ 14.99 on Google. If the user visited Web sites that participate in the "contributor" program, all advertising is hidden. At the end of the month, the subscription fee is divided among the visited Web sites. The system is similar to that of Peter Sunde of developed system called Flattr and is currently being tested, among other things by the satirical Web site "The Onion" and the tech blog "Mashable".

How intelligent the EU comedians (politicians) are, gets shown in the draft from the intellectual property right. Give them a lesson and remove all links from your sites and watch them crying until they are coming up with an paid offer (per click) for linking to their sites.

Everybody knows that politicians are useless for everything. They know everything from nothing. They can speak hours without saying something. Politicians are only actors which can get replaced at any time. The real content of the politics gets done in the background. Politicians, who are useless and dangerous at the national level, are getting sent to the European Union.

The conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran downgrades the Islam to a game of the mighty ones

MeccaThe conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Iran about the Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, is looking like a kindergarten game than a serious issue between educated people. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the leaders of Saudi Arabia "unbeliever", a commander put the Kingdom on the same level with the arch-enemy Israel.

Already this fact shows that the self-appointed leaders of the Islamic religion cannot get taken serious. This leaders are using only the religion from the crowd for their own favors and by doing this they forget their own teachings. They are clearly stating with their behavior that their own rules are only valid for masses but not for themselves.

It also shows that these leaders are not able learn from the mistakes of others and only want to extend their own claim to power. The history from other and older religions shows clearly the results for such a conduct. For example have been the religious wars in Europe a few hundred years ago, which got started for the reason of intrigues done by the church. It resulted in a strict separation between church and state without any power of the religion. Some countries have even forbidden the religion.

As long as the crowd will believe their power-hungry leaders, there will no peace in their area. As soon the crowd will start to use their own God given brain such irresponsible leaders will have an easy game with their own propaganda. Maybe it will take a few hundred years until the crowd is ready to send their stupid leaders to the counterpart of God, however they will call him. Not one religion teaches that unbelievers needs to get killed. That is only an invention from irresponsible, stupid and power-hungry people. Don't forget such people have copied the holy scripts over more than 1,000 years and changed the content to their own favor. Normal people could even not read or write during the old time.

Khamenei, the religious and political leader of Iran called on to rethink the management of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca by Saudi Arabia. He argued on Monday, among others, the death of thousands of pilgrims in the past year. In a stampede over 2,000 people were killed. Moreover Khamenei berated the leaders of Saudi Arabia as infidels and murderers. "The Muslims should the blasphemous and (world powers) dependent nature of the Saudis recognize world," Khamenei said in his annual message of Hajj.

Saudi Arabia and Iran are regional rivals. Iran considers itself as a protector of the Shiites, Saudi Arabia as a protector of the Sunnis. The leadership in Tehran supported the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the royal family in Riyadh, however, the rebels fighting against Assad.

Riyadh broke off diplomatic relations with Tehran after applied protesters stormed the embassy of the country in Tehran. Previously, 47 people in Saudi Arabia got executed as "terrorists", among them the prominent Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr. His beheading sparked massive tensions between the two Islamic powers.

The source from the conflict shows exactly that mighty ones are using the religion for their own favor and are thinking that they have the same level as God - masters of life and death - while they are even using the real terrorists for increasing their own influence. Do you really think that you'll meet such people in paradise? Such people will end up in the hell - in the torture chamber from the devil.

Nobody is asking you here to change your believes. You'll are only asked to use your own brain and rethink about the basic teaching from each holy script, where is written that you shall live in peace, accept the opinion from others and don't kill.

Why you should overthink any business relationship with Turkish business partners?

Alanya TurkeySince Erdogan got elected as President from the Turkey the country is showing their true face. The country is changing from a democracy into a dictatorship. It seems that this dictatorship does not stop at the border from Turkey. Erdogan tries to take the whole world into hostage for his own interests. The hillbillies are thinking that they can even put other countries under pressure. So it happens that they even not understand the freedom of press, which is one of the basic rights in the Western World.

So it has happened that the Austrian daily newspaper "Kronenzeitung" has reported about actual cases happened in Turkey. For promoting their business they have a display showing their captions at the airport in Vienna - Schwechat. At this display are got shown the caption "Who makes vacation in Turkey, supports Erdogan" and at the time the Turkish supreme court canceled made the sex with children legal by canceling the children abuse law: "Turkey allows sex with children"

The Turkish resort Alanya and the community Schwechat had 15 years long a city partnership. This partnership got now canceled from the Turkish partner for the reason of the promotion from the private newspaper "Kronenzeitung" and the private airport company "Flughafen Wien Betriebsgesellschaft". The community has no influence on both companies.

For the case you have a Turkish business partner you should be aware that this business partner will act the same way. He will simple cancel contracts for a reason where you even have no influence on it. With Erdogan as president from the Turkey the Turkish people are feeling themselves as the masters of the world. Such people are not really trustful in making business and you should verify as often as you can that your business partner is fulfilling his duties.

Everybody has the right cancelling a contract, but using a reason on what you have no influence for it shows you how trustful the coward has been.

My personal opinion about the attempted coup from the military against the Turkish president Erdogan is that it has been only a staged show or the Turkish military is so incompetent and unable to do something. The first case has given Erdogan only a reason to remove his opposition by putting them into jail as we have seen it by following the news. For the second case remains for me the question how bad is the Turkish military trained? How will such a military be able to protect a country and their borders?

Update September 5, 2016: The Turkey shows with the following decision again that they are already a dictatorship and not a trusted partner for the Western World. In the news gets found the following article:

By order of the Turkish Foreign Ministry an archeology team had to end its excavations in the ancient city of Ephesus west coast, like the Turkish news agency Dogan reported yesterday. The reason for this statement are the tensions between Vienna and Ankara.

The excavations were completed on 31 August - two months before the regular end of the project. The activities of the Austrian Archaeological Institute (ÖAI) in Ephesus has a very long tradition, such work will take place since 1895th participate annually to the 250 scientists from up to 20 countries to the archeological major project.

With this step, the freedom of science is continuing to decline.

Update September 8, 2016: Another case shows that Turkey is far away from a democracy and cannot be in any community. The broadcaster Deutsche Welle has made an interview with the Turkish Minister of Sport. After the interview the recordings got immediately confiscated from the Turkish authorities. It seems that the Turkish Minister of Sport does not know how the freedom of press is one of the basic rules in a free world.

Such a moves only shows that Turkey is not a serious partner for anything. Therefore, not one can offer such people joining any community.

Is Erdogan's diploma older than his university?

Has the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan forged his college diploma? After several media reports the title is older than the university that issued it. The Turkish Constitution stipulates that the president must present a high school diploma.

His diploma is issued in 1981 by Marmara University, now doubts as to its authenticity have risen. The problem: The University was founded in the 1982. Even the dean and the rector, who allegedly signed, got hired 1982. Graphic artists took the floor that the font in which the diploma is written, was not on the market in the year 1981. In addition, the public transport company of the city of Istanbul provides proudly at their website that Erdogan has been working until 1981 as a full-time worker at their company.

The allegations accompanied Erdogan his entire presidency, but would probably be without the opposition pro-Kurdish "Democratic Party of Peoples" (HDP) forgotten. Their steady demand to the Election Commission to submit the diploma from Erdogan, led last week to success.

"There are allegations of forgery," says the deputy Idris Baluken of the HDP. "It would be easy to refute it: date of enrollment, the list of the awarded diplomas and the original of the diploma." But President and Commission would give "not satisfactory answers".

Yusuf Hallacoglu, deputy leader of the right "Nationalist Action Party" (MHP), was incensed: "I say to the President: Your diploma is a fake and what is he doing? He is even not pulling me in front of the law court?" Hallacoglu was among the first who declared publicly that Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not meet the requirements to hold the office of Turkish President.

According to the Turkish Constitution only candidate can be elected president, who are older than forty years old and be able to prove a university degree with a minimum of four years of study. But Erdogan attended only one educational institution that issued diplomas after two years and possesses no admission as University explains MHP politicians Hallacoglu. This seems more likely, as Erdogan graduated from the religious Imam Hatip schools. At that time, graduates from religious schools did not got accepted from universities.

Before the presidential elections of 2014 finally the wind was taken out of the sails of the allegations. The Rector of Marmara University, Zafer Gül, a loyal follower of the ruling AKP and a friend of Erdogan, published a photograph of Erdogan's diploma. Erdogan was a graduate of Marmara University - he had studied at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Critics fear that the debate about Erdogan's diploma will remain without consequences. The Electoral Commission rejected requests for checking the authenticity of the diploma. The strongest opposition party in parliament, the Republican People's Party (CHP) has even tabled a motion to remove the university degree as a prerequisite for president under the Constitution. The reasoning is remarkable: “Not only Erdogan’s reputation gets damaged from the speculation about his diploma, but Turkey and the office of the president”.

Elsewhere gets such a behavior called ad hoc legislation. My opinion is that the reputation from Erdogan, the office of the president and the Turkey got already damaged because the law existed and got broken already.

And yet, although the country's media avoid the subject, it spreads through the social networks. Erdogan is not squeamish when it comes to libel. Even students, who post on Facebook anything critical about him, need to fear the revenge of the president. He has placed thousands of lawsuits since he got elected, but that the President has no university degree, it may be said with impunity, as already Yusuf Hallacoglu of the MHP has done it.

If it would come to a trial, the diploma would probably need to get presented as a proof for Erdogan.
